I love Halloween so much that I sometimes get three different costumes – yes, I’m that obsessed. While I’m planning said costumes, decorating my room for Halloween, and watching old Disney Channel original movies (hi, Halloweentown!), I also like getting into the spirit with my nail color.
Black and orange polishes are totally acceptable during this time of the year, and I love it! If you want to bring some spooky spirit to your mani, check out my favorite Halloween nail polish shades below.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in “Sunkissed”
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in “Sunkissed” – $2.99
I love these classic Sally Hansen polishes, and this bright orange is perfect for Halloween. Even though this is a bright color, it’s actually flattering on most skin tones. The formula of this polish is also so awesome for the price. I’ve raved about these polishes before and I’ll continue to do so. You can’t go wrong with Sally Hansen.
Essence Nail Polish in “Black is Back”
Essence Nail Polish in “Black is Back” – $1.99
I’m a huge fan of black nail polish, even when it isn’t Halloween. I think it’s an underused neutral, and it can look so classy when the manicure is done well and not chipped.
This polish, by Essence, is incredibly opaque and a great formula for the price. For just under $2, this is an amazing gel-like formula – true to its gel nature, the polish lasts a really long time. Definitely try this if you’re looking for a shiny, perfect black polish!
Essie Nail Polish in “Shall We Chalet”
Essie Nail Polish in “Shall We Chalet” – $8.50
If you aren’t into the classic orange and black, this blood red is another fabulous choice for Halloween.
I adore deep reds and maroons for fall, and this pretty color from Essie will fit any occasion. This can even be worn into Thanksgiving! Wear this with your scary vampire costume to fit the part.
Wet n Wild Nail Color in “Party of Five Glitters”
Wet n Wild Nail Color in “Party of Five Glitters” – $2.29
Everyone needs a good glitter top coat to make their nail look even more festive. Even though Wet n Wild nail colors are cheap, they’re actually great quality and come in such fun shades!
This chunky glitter polish is fun for Halloween because of all the different sparkle shapes. Give this a try, and use it for an accent nail.
